Streamline Buys Meta Health Technology
In the US, healthcare business analytics provider Streamline Health Solutions has acquired Meta Health Technology, which offers information management solutions for hospitals, clinics, physician group practices, and long-term care facilities. The deal is valued at $15m.
Streamline Health's President and CEO Robert Watson says the integration of his firm's business analytics with Meta Health's coding solutions will position the company to address the issues of clinical analytics as clients prepare for the proposed changes in commercial and governmental payment models.
As part of the acquisition - which comprises $13.4m in cash and $1.6m in Streamline Health stock - Meta Health's COO Barbara Hinkle-Azzara (pictured) will join Streamline as Vice President and General Manager for the subsidiary.
Commenting on the deal, Hinkle-Azzara said: 'Our entire team of associates is excited to join the Streamline Health team. Together we can continue to provide industry-leading solutions for health information management to our clients and the marketplace, as well as to bring Streamline Health's robust suite of content management and business analytics solutions to Meta's clients.'
Separately, Streamline Health has completed a $12m equity investment led by Great Point Partners LLC and Noro-Moseley Partners - the latter's General Partner Allen Moseley joins Streamline Health's Board.
