GMO Research/JMI to Open India Ops Centre
Japan-based GMO Research and its subsidiary GMO Japan Market Intelligence (GMO Research/JMI) are to open the group's first operations centre in India at the end of August, led by former GMI exec Anupam Kaul.
The firms, which are part of the GMO Internet Group, offer full service research into the Asian market, with methods including online panels, social media research, mobile research, eye tracking and online communities.
The new centre will offer 24-hour operational support, including improved support for North American and European clients.
Kaul worked at GMI (Global Market Insite) for the past six years, working directly with clients and vendors as Lead Manager for NA/EMEA Accounts. Prior to this, he spent nearly four years at Greenfield Online.
GMO Research/JMI CEO Shinichi Hosokawa comments: 'We are extremely excited to start up our India operations centre, and Anupam, with his rich experience, will make this a reality.'
Earlier this year, GMO Research/JMI hired Jonathan Sheldrake in the UK and Sarah Jang in North America as part of the company's global expansion plan.
