Facebook Buys Influence Tracker Threadsy
Facebook has acquired San Francisco-based Threadsy, developer of the Swaylo social analytics tool which connects influencers to brands. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Threadsy combines and aggregates e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and the broader social web into a simple interface. Its Swaylo solution is used to measure the influence of a user in their social network on a scale of 0 to 10, by analysing how their online activity impacts on their social circle.
The firm, which was founded by Rob Goldman (pictured) and Udi Nir, has previously raised $6.3m in funding. In a blog on their web site, Goldman said: 'We built Swaylo because we believe Facebook and other social media services are the digital representation of our lives. There is no better opportunity to take Swaylo's vision to the next level than at Facebook.'
