GfK Philippines Appoints Retail Leader
GfK Philippines has appointed former Nielsen exec Mary Margaret Co Martinez to lead its Retailer team in the role of Retail Director.
Martinez (pictured) joins with more than 25 years' marketing and sales development experience in the local retail market. She spent the last nine years with Nielsen, where she most recently served as Associate Director for Retailer Services, responsible for managing the company's retail chain, personal care store, convenience store, and department store clients. Earlier in her career, she held product management and marketing roles at Unilever Foods, Mead Johnson, Purefoods, Adidas, Jollibee Foods, and Ramcar Inc.
In her new position, Martinez reports to Benny Villanueva, General Manager of GfK Philippines, who comments: 'Marge's many years of retail background and experience, especially in a retail market research capacity, will definitely serve her well to take the lead in furthering the company's partnership with retailers and propel it to a higher level.'
