IDC Hires Reed Anderson to Lead AsiaPac Telecom Practice
Technology market intelligence provider IDC has appointed BT Global Services' former innovation leader Charles Reed Anderson, as Head of its Telecom Practice and co-leader of its Mobility Practice in Asia Pacific.
IDC employs more than 1,000 analysts to provide global, regional, and local expertise on technology and industry opportunities and trends in more than 110 countries.
Reed Anderson (pictured) joins IDC's office in Singapore, with more than 20 years' experience in the technology sector, and a focus on emerging technologies gained while working for and with fixed and mobile telecoms firms.
Most recently, he served as Principal Consultant and Head of Innovation - APAC for BT Global Services in Singapore. In this role, he developed region-specific competitive intelligence to assess BT's solution and delivery capabilities against APAC competitors. Prior to this, he was the Enterprise Mobility Solutions Specialist for Vodafone in London, and he earlier held senior strategy positions at Morse Mobile, O2, Volantis, and iXL.
In his new role, Reed Anderson leads IDC's telecoms research and strategy across Asia Pacific, and works closely with the regional and country teams to provide market insights and advisory services to clients. In addition, he co-leads IDC's Mobility Practice in Asia/Pacific.
