Userlytics Rolls Out Remote Mobile Testing Platform

In the US, user testing specialist Userlytics has launched a remote mobile testing platform, through which user interaction with apps or web sites is recorded through a webcam view.

Alejandro Rivas-MicoudHeadquartered in San Mateo, California, with a European subsidiary in Madrid, the firm uses webcams, social networks and demographic targeting to help agencies test how end-users are responding to their online and off-line initiatives.

Using a 'Picture-in-Picture' (PiP) recording format, the firm's new Mobile App User Testing system takes a video of screen interactions, which through wireless projection, can be observed without any finger movements obscuring the view.

Alejandro Rivas-Micoud (pictured), CEO of Userlytics, comments: 'Our goal is to ensure that all employees involved in the launch and optimization of smart-phones, tablet apps and web sites can iteratively observe the mobile user experience and usability. And do so quickly, easily, and affordably.'
