Maktoob Founder Tamara Deprez Joins POINT in Dubai

Maktoob Research founder Tamara Deprez has left her most recent role at Saliance Research after just nine months, to join Dubai-based agency POINT Consulting as Managing Partner. The firm has also hired Henry Beales as Business Solutions Consultant.

POINT Consultancy was set up last year to offer a full-service suite of market research services to clients in the Middle East and North Africa. In addition to its qual/quant offering, the company provides social media measurement, ethnography, online research, and eye tracking services.

Deprez (pictured) joins from media content analysis specialist Salience Research, where she had worked as General Manager since last November. Prior to this, she set up Maktoob Research, and later sold the company to Yahoo! Earlier in her career, Deprez held research management positions at Ipsos Dubai, Motivaction International and TNS NIPO.

Most recently, Beales worked as a Team Leader for Dubai-based Ethos Consultancy, which offers a range of services such as mystery shopping customer satisfaction surveys, and employee engagement measurement.
