MicroMass Opens Patient Behavioral Science Group
US-based healthcare marketing agency MicroMass Communications has formed a new behavioral science practice, focusing on identifying ways to motivate patients and other audiences to adopt behaviors that lead to better health outcomes.
MicroMass offers digital and relationship marketing services, while also using behavioral science to provide expertise in human health behavior. Its new MicroMass Health Behavior Group has been set up to offer pharma clients access to this expertise.
The team will be led by company veteran Jessica Brueggeman (pictured), who will oversee the agency's staff of behaviorists to deliver communications strategies that can be applied across multiple audiences, including patients, healthcare providers, caregivers and payers.
Commenting on the launch, Brueggeman said: 'As pharma shifts its focus from products to health outcomes, it's essential to understand what motivates patients to take appropriate actions regarding their health. Formalizing MicroMass's behavioral services into a dedicated consulting group gives us the opportunity to partner with clients to help them build new capabilities in behavior change.'
