Executive Staff Changes at FDS
UK research agency FDS has just announced a number of important HR changes within the company.
Firstly, Brian Westra has been promoted to the role of senior research manager, FDS International. He previously held the position of senior research executive from 1997 onwards. In addition to his strong analytical skills, Westra will provide training support and mentoring for the junior executives in the FDS consumer division.
Secondly, Eric Waring has been promoted to the position of senior network manager and database administrator. He was previously employed as the company's systems manager. He originally joined the company in 1999 and has been instrumental in setting up many of the company's access database reporting systems.
Thirdly, Michael Rogers has been appointed telephone centre manager at FDS International's London telecentre. He joins the company from City Research Associates where he held a similar position, working across business to business and consumer financial audiences, both in the UK and internationally.
Rogers will work closely with FDS group services director Sheila Carey in recruiting, training and managing the London supervisors, business to business and consumer interviewing teams. He will also manage IQCS training, documentation and record keeping and take control of large ongoing tracking studies for the company.
Lastly, Derek Berkley has joined the board of FDS International as financial director. He started his career with the company in 1997 as financial controller and was promoted to associate director two years ago, having been instrumental in honing the company's financial controls and reporting systems. He is now set to play a more strategic role in assessing potential acquisitions and other expansion opportunities.
