NGDATA Raises $2.5m for US Expansion
Gent, Belgium-based consumer intelligence specialist NGDATA has closed a $2.5m round of funding, which it will use to further develop its personalization products and to establish offices near New York and San Francisco for servicing its US-based clients.
NGDATA's flagship software solution lily combines machine learning with big data from point of sale (POS) systems, enterprise applications, social media sites and more, to generate a snapshot of consumer preferences and behaviors, and help clients target consumers in a more personalized way.
The company's funding comes from ING, Sniper Investments, Plug and Play Ventures and several US angel investors.
CEO and co-founder Luc Burgelman (pictured) comments: 'This round of funding is just the beginning for NGDATA as we expand our business into the US market and continue to evolve our product line, and we look to supplement this round in the near future.'
