i3 Analytics Names Leadership Team

US pharmaceutical data start-up i3 Analytics has appointed a leadership team led by President and CEO Will Zerhouni, following the public roll-out of its flagship Biopharma Navigator tool.

Since forming last year, i3 has worked with one of the world's top-five pharma companies to develop the Biopharma Navigator. This tool uses natural language processing and linking tools, to provide connections between unstructured data from millions of biopharma documents. A suite of products which help clients conduct competitive analysis of clinical trials, get industry news alerts and identify sector opinion leaders, went on public release in August.

Zerhouni (pictured) joined the company last year with more than a decade of pharma and biopharma experience. He was previously an Associate at Covington & Burling and Kirkland & Ellis, where he focused on patent litigation on behalf of pharma companies. He also advised companies on patent portfolios and evaluated the intellectual property of various growth stage companies.

'Our goal is to break down the walls of exclusivity that prevent universal access to data and to create usable platforms that allow everyone to access and understand biopharma data,' Zerhouni states.

His leadership team also includes Archna Bhandari, Vice President of Data and Analytics; Kirk Baker, Vice President of Technical Development; and David Mir, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.
