Huijboom Returns to Aegis
Former Synovate exec Peter Huijboom is bound for Aegis Group as Global Director of Business Integration, a new role reporting to group CEO Jerry Buhlmann.
 Huijboom, who joins in the New Year, will take charge of capturing revenue synergies between Aegis and its new owner Dentsu, once the acquisition is complete. When it was bought by Ipsos in October 2011, Huijboom was Synovate's CEO Geographies - this followed spells as CEO Western Europe, CEO Global Client Relationships and CEO Clients & Industries.
According to Buhlmann, the forthcoming merger will bring together 'two world-class businesses with aligned strategies and complementary client, geographic and product portfolios'. He continues: 'We knew of Peter's strong track record in both client relationships and operational leadership from his time at Synovate so I am delighted to welcome him back to Aegis at such an important time.'
Aegis is the parent of performance marketing company iProspect, and of Aztec, a scan-based market and consumer insights company.
