YouGov Moves Martin to Run New US Omnibus
UK-based YouGov has moved its SVP & International Head of Omnibus Ray Martin from London to New York, where he will lead the launch of US Omnibus services.
'YouGov is the single most quoted research agency in the United Kingdom' says Martin, who joined the company in August 2007 and has since driven the UK and European Omnibus operations. 'Most of those press mentions are generated by YouGov's Omnibus clients using our services to drive media coverage. The goal is to recreate a similar vehicle for our clients to benefit from over here in the US.'
The YouGov US Omnibus will make use of the firm's 1.3 million US panelists (around half its global total), and sample matching expertise from the YouGov Political team led by Doug Rivers PhD.
YouGov CEO and founder Stephan Shakespeare comments: 'Over the past decade YouGov has transformed the role of public opinion in the British media. Bringing the YouGov omnibus to America can do the same here. Accurate, fast, fair opinion research plays a vital part in democracy and in business.' In the recent Presidential election, the company correctly called the popular result and won the plaudits of a number of commentators for its speed and accuracy - which Martin says are the key selling points of the Omnibus service.
