Pernod Ricard Debuts Employee Innovation Platform
Global wine and spirit brand Pernod Ricard has launched an internal social network called Chatter, through which employees will be encouraged to generate and share new ideas for the business.
Chatter brings together the group's 18,800 personnel in a single, cloud-based platform through which they can discuss and exchange new product or business ideas.
The company says that innovation is one of the group's main 'strategic thrusts', and that open dialogue, real-time data sharing, multi-source collaboration and instant messaging are all drivers of the initiative.
Deputy CEO Alexandre Ricard (pictured) comments: 'Pernod Ricard's business model is based on the twin pillars of decentralisation, which gives all our subsidiary companies substantial entrepreneurial independence, and conviviality, which means sharing between everyone including the continuous exchange of ideas. Pernod Ricard Chatter was the tool we needed to turn these two aspects into an instant, daily reality for 18,800 colleagues.'
