Former T-Mobile Exec Launches Big Data Firm
In the US, former T-Mobile Chief Information Architect Matthew Standish has raised $700k in initial investment funding to launch a company called IDInteract, whose technologies will aggregate and analyze data from sources such as social media, mobile devices and CRM systems.
IDInteract's Demand Exchange technology pulls together structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to identify demand signals and predict real-time intent. It then creates consumer 'Personas' through which to target specific individuals, groups and communities with products and offers.
Standish is joined by former Microsoft, IBM and IDG exec Scott Frank, who will oversee Marketing & Operations; Brian Leonard who is in charge of Design and User Experience; and former Microsoft program management exec John Helmon, who will head up Customer Delivery & Platform Operations.
In addition, several members of the venture capital and technology communities are currently advising the company - including Punit Chiniwalla, Director at Singtel Innov8 Ventures, and Lee Paries, VP of Sales at big data analytics firm Teradata Aster.
Commenting on the launch, Standish said: 'Without a way to aggregate and analyze big data, marketers are left in the dark with no way to understand and immediately act on real-time customer demand signals. That's really the soul of IDInteract - changing the direction of supply-based marketing to demand-based interaction.'
