Sports Researcher Rebrands and Hires New Marketing Head
Holding group RSMG Insights is bringing its sports broadcast measurement specialists Sport+Markt AG and IFM Sports GmbH under its Repucom brand, consolidating its global businesses in the sector. Meanwhile Andrew Milnes has joined to head up Repucom's marketing in the UK and Ireland.
During the first half of 2013, IFM Sports and Sport+Markt's offices in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy and Belgium will begin to operate as Repucom. The company says it has doubled its staff and revenue in the UK in 2012, following the acquisition of IFM Sports Marketing Surveys, with clients including HSBC, Sky, ITV, Rolex and The Premier League tapping into its exposure analysis and sponsorship research. Last month, it appointed former Kantar Sport Head Bruno Lalande in the newly created role of Director of Strategy, EMEA, based in Paris; while in May it teamed up with Grupo IBOPE to launch a sports research business in Latin America.
Milnes (pictured) joins on January 7th. He is currently Head of Marketing and Communications at The Ageas Bowl - formerly known as The Rose Bowl, and the home of Hampshire County Cricket Club, where he has worked for five-and-a-half years, taking a prominent role in the naming rights sale to financial firm Aegas, the promotion of the redeveloped ground and the county's extensive community outreach programmes. Before this, he worked for French sports brand Decathlon.
