$15m for Persuasive Persado
Data-driven 'marketing persuasion' software developer Persado has raised $15m in Series A funding, and says it will more than double its spend on R&D, expand its sales and marketing efforts, and establish a new HQ in New York City.
The funding has been led by Bain Capital Ventures.
Instead of applying cookies, Persado uses advanced statistical techniques, a semantic database and structured 'maps' of buying emotions and product features to produce and test digital marketing messages which maximise response and conversion rates.
CEO and founder Alex Vratskides (pictured) says the technology is 'a ground-breaking application of mathematics to emotions, products and language'. He continues: 'Where others see sentences and phrases comprising an offer, we are unique in seeing multi-dimensional vector spaces that can be efficiently explored. With this funding round, we are excited to bring this innovation to a broader marketplace of digital marketing customers.'
