Millward Brown Names Africa MDs
Millward Brown has promoted Soumya Saklani to the position of Managing Director, Sub Saharan Africa and Chris Githaiga to support him as Managing Director of the East Africa region.
Saklani joined the firm in 2010 as MD, West Africa, responsible for operations in Ghana and Nigeria. Before this, he spent a year at Ipsos ASI India, six years at Nielsen in Singapore, and three years as MD of EMR International. Earlier, he worked for Millward Brown as Associate Research Manager, and at IMRB and MARG.
In his new position, Saklani adds responsibility for the company's offices in Nairobi, Kenya, to his role for the West African offices. Saklani replaces Prasun Basu who is now in charge of Millward Brown India, and he reports to Charles Foster, Regional MD of Millward Brown Africa and Middle East.
Githaiga, who joined the company in 2008, has more than fourteen years' market research experience in the region. He currently serves as Chief Client Officer for the East Africa region, and will support Saklani in his new role.
