Ipsos InnoQuest Hires Sensory Expert Josef Zach
In Germany, forecasting specialist Ipsos InnoQuest has appointed sensory and consumer insight expert Josef Zach as Director, Research & Development, Product Testing.
Zach (pictured) joins from Kraft Foods/Mondelez where for the past twenty years he has focused on consumer science and sensory research across all key product categories. Most recently, he served as Section Manager, Global Consumer Science, leading the global sensory panel for the firm's chocolate and coffee brands; and served as a Board member at three R&D sites in Europe. Earlier, he held sensory leadership roles across the cheese and dairy product lines.
In his new position, Zach will not only lead new product development related to sensory testing and product optimization, but also consult with clients and play a lead role in research and development. Based out of Ipsos' Munich office, he will report to David Lansanah, Global MD, Product Testing, and Lee Markowitz, Global Chief Research Officer, Ipsos InnoQuest.
Lauren Demar, Global CEO of Ipsos InnoQuest, describes Zach as 'a true innovator, with a success record to prove it', and adds: 'With decades of client-side experience on his side, we are confident that Josef will be instrumental in developing new tools and approaches at Ipsos, especially in the areas of early stage product testing and sensory testing where our clients are increasingly demanding more leading-edge, creative solutions.'
