DGOF Elects Otto Hellwig Chairman
Otto Hellwig, CEO of sample and panel provider respondi, has been elected Chairman of The German Society for Online Research (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Online Forschung - DGOF), replacing Christoph Irmer who has stepped down after a two-year term in office.
The DGOF represents German language online research, with membership made up of scientists, users, companies and agencies.
Hellwig (pictured), who has worked at respondi for more than seven years, previously held senior roles at Globalpark and Speedfacts. He has served on the DGOF Board since 2005.
Monika Taddicken of the University of Hamburg, and Lars Kaczmirek (GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences) have been re-elected to the Board, while new members include Alexandra Wachenfeld (LINK Institute for Market and Social Research) and Oliver Tabino (Q | Agency for Research).
Irmer, who is the CEO of online fieldwork firm ODC Services, said he is stepping down for personal reasons, and Hellwig thanked him for his work during the past two years, adding: 'Christopher, with his ideas and his high level of commitment, has left his mark. However, I look forward to working with the newly elected board.'
