Influence Analyst Pursway Names New CEO
Big data firm Pursway, which tracks the influence of opinion leaders on purchasing, has named technology sector veteran Dave Ellenberg as its new Chief Exec, replacing company co-founder Elery Pfeffer who has moved into the role of Chief Science Officer.
Pursway's patent-pending technology enables companies to identify and measure how opinion leaders shape their followers' purchasing decisions. Analyzing existing customer information as well as publicly available web data, Pursway assigns a 'PIVO score', which is claims is more accurate than metrics derived from social media or other means.
Ellenberg (pictured) joins with a 25-year background in the software sector. Most recently, he served as MD of investor advisory services specialist G2 Capital Advisors, prior to which he spent nearly seven years as CEO of financial services software solutions company 17 Systems and three years as CEO of streaming media firm Vividon. Earlier, he was President/COO of DataSage, and VP/General Manager at Data General, where he worked for thirteen years.
Pfeffer comments: 'This is an exciting time at Pursway, and we're lucky to have found a great executive to help us build on the vision that my co-founders and I set out. The industry is abuzz with the idea that chief marketing officers are on track to outspend chief information officers in the years to come, and we're confident we can help ensure those dollars are most effectively used.'
The firm, which has offices in Israel, the US and the UK, is online at: www.pursway.com .
