SiSense Raises $10m to Meet Big Data Demand
Israeli business intelligence software developer SiSense has closed a $10m Series B round of funding, aiming to meet what it describes as 'intense demand' for its big data analytics solutions.
Founded in 2005, SiSense has developed an application called Prism, powered by 'Elasticube' analytical database technology, to enable people with little or no prior experience in BI development to perform data modelling and dashboard creation. SiSense claims that the tool can analyze 100 times more data than traditional in-memory solutions, at a fraction of the cost.
The firm's latest funding has been led by Battery Ventures with participation from Opus Capital and Genesis Partners. SiSense CEO Amit Bendov (pictured) comments: 'We are experiencing exponential sales growth and incredible buzz in the market - it is time to step on the accelerator. Our biggest challenge right now is growing the sales force and the support teams quickly enough to keep up with the demand.'
