US Firm Debuts Legal Fee Database
US firm ALM Legal Intelligence is adding to its range of business information and market data for the legal industry with the launch of a new database of the billing rates of attorneys across the country.
The division focuses on the top US and international law firms, and offers online access to an extensive database of surveys, rankings and lists related to law firms and the legal industry. Its parent company is specialized business information provider ALM, whose other main focus is the commercial real estate sector.
The new Billing Rates Database contains billing records for more than 60,000 legal professionals, has been compiled from studies of public records from 2006 to present and is searchable by attorney name, law firm, title, practice area, year graduated, range of billing rate and billing rate within a specific year.
Kevin Iredell, VP of Research and Continuing Education Products at ALM, comments: 'Accurate data for attorney billing rates is hard to come by, so this product will be a powerful asset for law firm management teams to benchmark specific rates based on practice area and region.'
Headquartered in New York City, ALM was formed in 1997. The Legal Intelligence arm is online at www.almlegalintel.com .
