Face Debuts Big Data Social Media Tool
Cello-owned co-creation agency Face has launched a social media research platform called Pulsar TRAC, designed specifically to handle large volumes of data.
Face, which operates from offices in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore, has dedicated teams of planners, researchers and social media specialists who work on new product development, concept generation, brand insight and positioning projects.
Where traditional social media monitoring platforms examine the content of conversations, Face says Pulsar TRAC (Topic, Reach, Audience, Content) measures their reach, maps brand audiences, and tracks content. It also analyses the social connections, interest, and digital behaviour of the authors.
Face says the platform is engineered specifically for big data, collects social and news content in 140 languages, can process 60 million tweets per day, and can perform complex queries on millions of conversations.
CEO Andrew Needham (pictured) comments: 'Researchers and planners have become disillusioned with current social media monitoring tools for a variety of reasons, and we took this into consideration when we developed Pulsar TRAC. This launch is the first in a series of planned product releases from Face, which marks an evolution of the business from a research agency to a technology-driven insight consultancy.'
