Insight Role for New Facebook UK Board
Facebook has set up a UK Advisory Board comprising eleven representatives from major brands and agencies who will meet four times a year to discuss insights, campaign measurement, product development and marketing best practices.
In its blog, the social media giant explained: 'The formation of the UK Advisory Board is the latest step in our ongoing commitment to the country's marketers and our desire to give them the support they need to get the best results on Facebook.'
Under the leadership of Facebook UK execs Christian Hernandez and Stephen Haines, the Advisory Board will include client side members Matt Atkinson from Tesco, Sarah Mansfield from Unilever, Spencer McHugh from EE, Jason Richards from PepsiCo, and Jon Woods from Coca Cola.
Agency members include Karen Blackett, CEO of MediaCom; Gerry Boyle, UK Chairman of ZenithOptimedia; Phillippa Brown, CEO of Omnicom; Mark Creighton, CEO of Mindshare; Pippa Glucklich, MD, Starcom MediaVest; and Rob Horler, CEO of Aegis.
Facebook added: 'We are always working to improve the service we deliver to marketers. That means being in constant contact with our industry partners, listening to their needs, and working together to help make their marketing efforts on Facebook more effective and efficient.'
