Metametrics Hires Data Scientist Hector Vass
In the UK, marketing and customer analytics business Metametrics has appointed big data specialist Hector Vass as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for integrating Bayesian and adaptive modelling into the firm's analytics platforms.
Founded in 2007 by former Kraft Foods Analytics Director Tom Lloyd, Wiltshire-based Metametrics focuses on analysing and integrating customer database, marketing, econometric and digital data streams.
Vass joins from Lloyds Banking Group, where he most recently served as Marketing Optimisation Analyst, in charge of building a multi-attribution back analysis platform. Prior to this, he worked at HBOS Cards as Senior Manager Data & Planning, designing a database for acquisition, targeting, and risk management of existing customers. Earlier in his career, Vass ran database, marketing, and analytics firm Fullgroove, was IS Director at EHS/Brann, and he co-founded marketing services agency Lovell Vass Boddey.
Commenting on the appointment, Lloyd said: 'Hector has been pioneering marketing data solutions for decades and is almost uniquely placed to work across the spectrum of our marketing mix, digital attribution, and customer database analytics practices. We're thrilled to have him on board and firmly believe that we now have an unrivalled offering to help clients fully exploit the data at their disposal.'
