Civicom Launches App for Mobile Shopper Insights
US firm Civicom Marketing Research Services has launched a mobile app through which consumers can 'dial in' and record their thoughts while out shopping.
Founded in 2000 as PlezeCall, Greenwich, CT-based Civicom develops technologies to connect researchers with respondents at a distance.
Within ten minutes of respondents using the new 'Civicom Mobile Qualitative App' to make a recording, researchers and their clients can go to their Civicom online account to listen to feedback. The technology operates in 'almost every country in the world'.
The firm says that while many apps are available for researches to encourage consumers to take mobile surveys on smart phones, these tools require consumers to select choices from a list of pre-loaded attributes. In contrast, Civicom's new app allows consumers to explain in their own words why they are making a decision.
