Lenovo Sets Up Singapore Analytics Hub
Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovo is to launch a global analytics hub in Singapore, through which it will tap into and analyse online and off-line data to support its marketing intelligence and social media teams.
Founded in Beijing in 1984, Lenovo now has operations in more than 60 countries and sells its products in around 160. The hub's framework and team will be developed from next month and later in the year it will begin providing insights for corporate functions such as customer service, product development and global supply chain.
Howie Lau (pictured), VP, Corporate Development, comments: 'The launch of our analytics hub will enable us to enrich our understanding of our customers and business across all functions. Big data and analytics will support Lenovo in our ongoing journey to become a global leader in the traditional PC and smart connected devices markets.'
The launch comes two years after the firm set up a Digital and Social Center of Excellence (DSCoE) in Singapore.
