Retention Science Names Liu Chief Data Scientist
In the US, big data specialist Retention Science has appointed Dr Alex Liu as Chief Data Scientist, overseeing further development of the company's predictive models.
Based in Santa Monica, the firm uses big data algorithms and statistical models to predict customer behavior. Its 'Customer Profiling Engine' uses analysis of the customer lifecycle to fidentify the best times to re-engage customers with individually-tailored offers.
Liu (pictured) joins with decades of experience of converting data and analytics into business insights. Most recently, he served as the Chief Data Scientist for Customer Retention at predictive analytics specialist iSKY, before which he held similar positions for companies including IBM, RMA, Shopzilla, Zest Cash and RentPayment. In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor of Quantitative Research Methods at USC and UC Irvine.
Liu's new role includes maximizing the impact of the company's retention campaigns, and providing thought leadership on predictive modeling, retention scores and data science.
