KXEN Adds Geolocation to Analytics Tool
US predictive analytics specialist KXEN has added geo-location support to its flagship solution InfiniteInsight, to enable clients to send consumers personalized recommendations for nearby outlets such as stores or restaurants.
KXEN is headquartered in San Francisco, with offices across the US and in Paris and London. Its InfiniteInsight solution is used to build predictive models, and a DIY version - called InfiniteInsight Express - enables marketers to build their own predictive models 'in minutes'.
The geo-location capability draws information from new data sources such as phone calls, GPS, machine sensors and social media activity, to enable clients to identify the location of a person or transaction, and translate that data into 'geographic tiles' which can be used to deliver personalized recommendations relating to where that person actually is. The add-on can also detect transactions or events occurring in the same location during the same time period.
Erik Marcade, CTO and co-founder, explains: 'As more people and more devices 'plug in' to the Internet, we're seeing that valuable location-based data can be applied to many predictive modeling scenarios. Geo-location provides a new level of insight about individual or machine behavior, making it increasingly important in today's hyper-connected, hyper-mobile world.'
