NatCen and RTI Sign Partnership Agreement
Not-for-profit bodies NatCen Social Research and RTI International have signed a three-year agreement through which they will aim to share knowledge and expertise and build their research capacity and capabilities.
US-based RTI, set up in 1958, now has a team of more than 3,700 which provides research and technical services to governments and businesses in more than 75 countries. London-based NatCen focuses on social research to understand social behaviour and inform policy.
The firms' first joint activity will involve a series of methodological master classes in different European capital cities during 2014, and they will also be exploring opportunities to jointly bid for work from the European Union Euro 80 billion funded Horizon 2020 research and innovation framework.
NatCen CEO Penny Young comments: 'In RTI International we have found a social research organisation that shares our values and our commitment to methodological innovation and will help us expand our reach outside of the United Kingdom and open up new markets.'
