Federated Sample Hires Lieberman CTO

US-based market research technology firm Federated Sample has appointed former Lieberman Research Worldwide (LRW) CTO Brett Schnittlich as Chief Technology Officer and EVP, responsible for leading the Product & Technology team.

Federated Sample, which was launched in August 2010 by New Orleans-based research technology start-up Jackson Square Group (JSG), offers technology for sampling automation. In 2011, the firm raised $2.8m in Series A funding, which it is using to roll out its sample management platform, Fulcrum.

Schnittlich joins with ten years' experience developing new strategies and growth within the online panel business. He spent the last four years in the Lieberman CTO role, and before that more than five years with the same title at OTX (now Ipsos OTX). Earlier, he worked in the marcoms sector as CTO Managing Partner at Omnicom-owned Hyphen, as CTO at Torre Lazur/McCann Healthcare, as EVP MD of Grey Healthcare, and CTO and founder of Ibis Software.

In his new role, Schnittlich will spearhead the continued development of the Fulcrum platform from the company's HQ in New Orleans.
