RealityMine Gets Funds for Expansion
Manchester, UK-based mobile market research technology firm RealityMine has raised £600k in equity funding, which it plans to use to finance the recruitment of additional technical, sales and client-support staff in the city.
RealityMine has developed an SaaS platform through which market researchers can analyse the mobile activity of opted-in panellists, across devices including mobile phones, tablets and smart TVs, along with a big data analytics system. Earlier this year, the firm was spun out of corporate mobile apps developer Apadmi, and it now operates as an independent business under the leadership of CEO Garry Partington and co-founder Rolfe Swinton, who previously co-founded app software firm Lumi Mobile.
New funds come from the North West Fund for Digital & Creative (part of The North West Fund, which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund and European Investment Bank), with co-investment from technology investment banking group GP Bullhound.
Partington comments: 'This investment is a great endorsement of our business and the technology that we have developed. The funds will support our growth plan to deliver RealityMine's research and analytics solutions to new customers, as well as increasing the depth of service to our existing client base.'
