m/SIX Beats a Path to New York
Analytics-driven UK-based media agency m/SIX is opening its first US office, in New York City, and has appointed David Stopforth as Managing Director.
Launched in the spring of 2012 as a rebranding of 2008 start-up mCHI, the firm is an equity partnership between London-based independent creative agency CHI & Partners and media powerhouse GroupM, and describes itself as 'passionate about understanding why people do what they do' and 'obsessed with using data and analytics to understand how communications deliver growth'.
After spells in senior roles at Adidas and Reebok, Stopforth most recently served as Group Strategy Director at Zenith Media in New York, and was a key contributor to Liquid, a Zenith consultancy that developed insights and innovation across the agency's client portfolio. Among his key aims in the new role will be improving sales efficiency by 'leveraging insights derived from m/SIX's data, digital and analytics services'.
Stopforth reports to m/SIX Global CEO Jess Burley, who comments: 'David's experience on the client and agency side makes him the ideal person to lead our team in the US. Clients are challenged today by the complexity in communication channels and the need to always demonstrate ROI. David can help our clients be more agile in overcoming these challenges.'
