StudioGood Buys Social Media Consultancy Social People
In the US, digital agency StudioGood has acquired social media consultancy Social People, which offers a range of strategy, analytics, influencer outreach, content development and training services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Social People was founded by James Andrews (pictured) in 2009. He was previously VP of Ketchum Digital, directing global social media strategies for clients, and held new media and non-traditional marketing roles at Urban Box Office, Columbia Records, Ecko Unlimited and Isobar/Carat. With the acquisition, Andrews becomes StudioGood's Chief Digital Evangelist.
Joey Leslie, President of StudioGood, says the purchase strengthens his firm's capabilities in digital and social strategy, while expanding its footprint to Atlanta - its existing presence is in Dallas, New York City, and San Luis Obispo, CA.
Leslie adds: 'As the social web has grown, so have we - expanding to meet the needs of our diverse client base. From the early big idea to the execution of social and digital campaigns, we're stronger now than ever. We were already fans of James and his team so this evolution just made sense.'
