iSentia Buys Social Media Agency Two Social
In Australia, media intelligence group iSentia (formerly known as Media Monitors) has acquired social media agency Two Social. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sydney-based Two Social offers a complete range of social media services, from strategy through to content creation and community management. The company's audit service includes analysis of the current levels of conversation about an organisation, their products and services, as well as those of their competitors.
iSentia says the purchase is part of its continued expansion into the social media space, and not a departure from its traditional information and analysis business. It follows the group's acquisition of Australian online media monitoring platform BuzzNumbers a year ago, and adds to its network of agencies which includes 360m, China Clipping, Brandtology, MediaBanc and Slice Media.
Two Social founder Rich Spencer (pictured right) will remain with the business, which will continue to operate separately.
iSentia CEO John Croll (pictured left) says the acquisition further enhances his firm's ability to 'take our technology and platforms and use our clever people to unlock information and turn data into insight'.
