Aegis Extends UK Presence
Aegis Research, a division of the Aegis Group, last week acquired Sample Surveys Limited, one of the largest independently owned custom market research agencies in the UK.
Sample Surveys is the second addition to Aegis's research acquisitions in the UK, the first being Pegram Walters last year. Aegis Research, which rebrands as Synovate in January 2003, has been rapidly growing its worldwide coverage and portfolio of solutions. Since 2001 it has acquired a number of European research companies including Market&More, MEMRB Custom Research and Demoscopie.
'Sample Surveys significantly increases our scale of operations in the UK, an important market both in itself and as a hub for European and global work,' says Aegis Research CEO Adrian Chedore. 'Together with Pegram Walters, we will be able to provide a full range of top quality research services to all kinds of clients, utilising the whole range of data collection options.'
