MB Hires New Talent Chief
Millward Brown has appointed Roger Li as Chief Talent Officer for the Africa, Middle-East and Asia-Pacific region, reporting to Adrian Gonzalez, the region's CEO and with a seat on its executive board.
Li, who takes overall responsibility for the firm's 'people agenda' for the region, has more than twenty years' experience in human resources, spanning organizational design, talent management, leadership development, internal communications and change management. He worked most recently at GroupM in China, a seven year spell culminating in the role of Chief Talent Officer; and before this held senior positions as MD of Regional Human Resources, Asia-Pacific for Burson-Marsteller, and Director of Human Resources for the Capital Club. A native Mandarin speaker fluent in English, he holds a BS in Management Information Systems from Tianjin University of Commerce and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
According to Gonzalez, Li is 'an experienced professional who made significant contributions to the transformation of GroupM in China'. He adds: 'his experience in recruiting and developing talent in the media area will be particularly important as we help our clients grow brands in the increasingly complex media landscape.'
Li says he is joining at 'an exciting period of growth and innovation - at both the global and regional levels.'
