Nepa Hires David Brennan, Launches TV Concept Test Tool
In the UK, brand tracking researcher Nepa has appointed media research veteran David Brennan as a Partner and shareholder, to coincide with the launch of a new product for evaluating early stage television programme concepts.
Nepa, which specialises in building online panels for quant surveys, operates from headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as from offices in China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, India, Singapore and the UK.
Brennan (pictured) joins with more than 30 years' media sector experience, which has included running his own research and marketing consultancy Media Native, working at TV marketing trade body Thinkbox as Research & Strategy Director, and holding research leadership roles at Associated Newspapers, Flextech Television, ITV, Tyne Tees Television, HTV and Ulster TV. During his career, he also set up and ran media consultancy Connect Research & Strategy in Australia.
In addition, the company has launched its 'Programme Concept Testing' model, which promises to help programming departments make more informed decisions at the commissioning stage, and marketing departments optimize the communications strategy for each new concept. Brennan previously developed a series of programme concept testing projects based on face-to-face interviews in the UK and Australia, and these were adapted for online research.
