ICC Buys Forecasting Firm Farsite

In the US, business analytics specialist Information Control Company (ICC) has acquired data science firm Farsite Group, which develops predictive and advanced analytics tools for the retail and healthcare sectors. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2008, Farsite Group applies statistical modeling to clients' big data, to help them predict revenue, analyze marketing opportunities, plan merchandising, and perform complex valuations. ICC says the acquisition strengthens its own ability to help clients make data-driven decisions.
