New Head for Nielsen Media Research Down Under
Nielsen Media Research has just announced the appointment of Peter Cornelius to the position of managing director, Nielsen Media Research Australia.
'Peter brings to the Nielsen Media Research Australian operation an exemplary senior executive record and an unparalleled wealth of experience in dealing with all key sectors of the Australian media and marketing industries. He is extremely well respected throughout the industry and I have every confidence in his ability to drive the momentum, develop the strategic direction and bring new energies to our Australian operation' said Forrest Didier, managing director, Nielsen Media Research Asia Pacific.
Cornelius most recently held the position of managing director and chief negotiating officer for Australia's first independent global media agency, Zenith Australia - a company he helped establish and launch five years previously. He has also served on a number of key industry bodies, most recently as president of the Media Federation of Australia (MFA), and chairman of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and served on the Executive Board of the CAB.

As managing director for Nielsen Media Research Australia, Cornelius will report to Didier and will work alongside Tom Markert, chairman of sister company, ACNielsen Marketing Information.
