MRC Accredits Digital Element's Geolocation Data
In the US, IP intelligence and geolocation solutions specialist Digital Element has received Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation for the geographic location analysis provided by its NetAcuity platform.
Clients use the firm's IP technology to personalize advertising, localize content and video streaming, manage geographic rights and enhance analytics. NetAcuity provides validated IP-to-postcode geographic data by combining routing infrastructure analysis to an approximate city-level location, with anonymous insight gleaned from a network of global partners.
In July, the company received a US patent for the NetAcuity ad targeting technology, and now it is the first IP geolocation specialist to attain MRC accreditation.
MRC CEO George Ivie (pictured) comments: 'This accreditation means the industry now has an MRC-accredited source for geolocation data to which it can turn, which ultimately can lead to enhanced confidence throughout the digital advertising ecosystem in the accurate measurement of campaigns at a local market level.'
