First UK CMO for Santander
European banking group Santander has appointed its first UK Chief Marketing Officer, Keith Moor, responsible for all UK marketing activity across the company.
Formerly the company's UK Director of Brand and Communications, Moor has overseen the development of the campaign involving sporting stars Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jensen Button and Rory McIlroy and promoting the 123 current account. He joined predecessor company Abbey in 1995 and took charge of the Abbey, Alliance and Leicester and Bradford & Bingley brands five years ago, presiding over their rebrand under the name of the Spanish parent company.
Santander says it sees its brand and image as 'tremendous assets', which like its other UK business operations will benefit from being managed centrally.
