Lieberman Quits TRA to Join Viamedia
Mark Lieberman, co-founder and former CEO of TV analytics firm TRA, has joined TV ad services specialist Viamedia as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.
Lieberman (pictured) set up TRA in 2007, to offer an analytical solution to 'match the ads that people actually receive with the products people actually buy'. In 2012, the firm was acquired by digital video recorder (DVR) solutions provider TiVo in a deal valued at around $20m, and Lieberman left the company last month.
He takes up his new position at Viamedia's New York City offices with more than twenty years' media and technology industry experience, succeeding the firm's co-founder and former President and CEO Jeff Carter, who becomes Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Commenting on the new role, Lieberman said: 'Viamedia is ideally positioned to transform the world of TV advertising going through sweeping consumer behavioral changes. Coming from the world of smart big data, I know that well-connected people are the key competitive advantage as the company rolls out new innovative solutions. I look forward to leading the Viamedia team and working with its majority shareholder, Lake Capital, to build upon an already strong core business and take the company to the next level.'
