Prosper Introduces Health InsightCenter
In the US, business and consumer intelligence specialist Prosper Insights & Analytics has launched a cloud-based platform called the 'Prosper Health InsightCenter', through which it will make available healthcare data sets from a variety of sources.
Prosper uses analytical software to examine big datasets and report on a variety of information including economic, behavioral and attitudinal data. Its new InsightCenter accesses Prosper's data warehouse which includes surveys made available through the Center for Disease Control including the National Health Interview Survey, and the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, along with proprietary consumer insights.
From this data, Prosper is able to provide consumers data across various disease states, and information on how to target particular segments in the market. Topics include health conditions/status, hospital visits, health insurance coverage and providers, and prescription and OTC drugs, media influence, and online behavior.
Prosper says that the center is being made available to help the healthcare industry with a range of issues, such as for forecasting markets by understanding segments and their behaviour, competitor intelligence, and cross-shopping information. Additionally, insights can be trended and segmented by key demographics such as age, gender, insurance provider and health conditions.
