App Analytics Provider Localytics Lands $16m Funding
US-based mobile app analytics provider Localytics has raised $16m in Series C funding, which it plans to invest in new product development, sales, and customer service, and also to fuel international expansion.
From its HQ in Boston, MA and offices in San Francisco and London, Localytics provides an analytics and marketing platform for mobile and web apps, which is used in more than 20,000 apps across more than 1.4 billion devices. The platform allows organizations to gain insights into app user behavior, and to create automated marketing programs that drive personalized in-app experience.
New funding has been led by new investor Foundation Capital, with support from existing investor Polaris Partners, and brings the total capital raised-to-date to $25m.
CEO Raj Aggarwal (pictured) comments: 'The app business has grown up and today our customers' goals are squarely focused on using apps to drive engagement and long-term loyalty. With this injection of capital we will continue to enhance the platform, expand our business internationally and deliver even more value to our customers.'
