Playbasis Gets Funds to Raise its Game

Bangkok-based gamification technology firm Playbasis has raised $770k in seed funding, which it will use to expand beyond Thailand.

Founded in 2012 by game designer Robert Zepeda (pictured), Playbasis provides an SaaS platform which uses gamification technology to engage with customers and employees through the use of data-driven game mechanics and behavioral triggers. Clients can use the platform to track user activity in real-time, understand behaviour and see exactly who's using a product and how.

New funding comes from Ardent Capital, 500 Start-ups, and Axis Capital, and will be used to expand Playbasis' presence across Asia.
