DataRPM Raises $5.1m for BI Roll Out
US-based natural language business intelligence (BI) specialist DataRPM has closed a $5.1m Series A funding round, which it will use to accelerate global roll out of its 'cognitive BI' platform.
DataRPM was founded in 2012 by serial entrepreneurs and technologists Shyamantak Gautam, Ruban Phukan and Sundeep Sanghavi, who previously worked with business intelligence, big data and search technologies at IBM, Yahoo! and Arthur Andersen. Their platform uses 'cognitive BI' - a combination of statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence algorithms - to automate the data modelling process, and employs a natural language question-and-answer interface, designed to simplify data analysis and visualization.
Sanghavi (pictured) comments: 'Pairing our computational search platform with machine learning and natural language interface, greatly simplifies the process of gaining insights from data.'
New funding has been led by InterWest Partners with participation from CIT GAP Funds.
