uSamp Founders Launch New Firm, 'Innovate'
uSamp co-founders Matt Dusig and Gregg Lavin have launched a new firm called Innovate, which they say will 'pinpoint' global panelists on demand and deliver sample via connected APIs.
Dusig and Lavin launched uSamp in 2008, after selling their previous firm goZing to Greenfield Online three years earlier in a $30m cash deal, and then working in senior management roles for the new owner. In December, the pair left uSamp to 'explore new opportunities', but remain major shareholders in the company. Dusig says that building panels and scaling them globally to millions of registered survey respondents has become his and Lavin's specialty.
With that in mind, their new online and mobile sampling and data collection business will focus on sampling automation techniques and 'unique panelist experiences', in a bid to achieve better quality research and enrich data delivery.
Lavin explains: 'Consumers have evolved and as our audience changes, so must we. Tablets, smartphones, multi-tasking and multiple distractions challenge our business. Our response is to be nimble and pivot by providing new methods of engagement, capturing them in-the-moment and offering a best-in-class consumer experience.'
