Truven Health Analytics Buys Simpler Consulting

US-based Truven Health Analytics has acquired performance management specialist Simpler Consulting. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Established eighteen years ago, Simpler helps worldwide healthcare and other organizations develop 'lean operations' in order to decrease costs, improve outcomes and generate higher revenues, using what it calls the Simpler Business System.

The acquisition will allow Truven to offer a full range of analytics, data management, management consulting and performance improvement services to hospitals and health systems, government agencies, employers, health plans and life sciences companies.

Simpler's CEO Marc Hafer (pictured) and his entire management team will continue to run the business, now as a unit of Truven and reporting to Roy Martin, EVP and COO of Truven's commercial division.
